The Board of Directors of NorthStar Church Network will propose changes to our Bylaws, as indicated below, at our Annual Celebration to be held at 8:00 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at Virginia Hills Church and Learning Center.

Purpose of Amendment

To allow the Moderator and Moderator-elect to each serve up to two consecutive one-year terms, while retaining the annual election of all officers.

Current Language – Article 4.02

4.02 Terms of office for the Officers named in Articles 3.01 – 3.04 shall be for one year, to begin at the close of the fall plenary session. A person elected as moderator for a full term shall not be eligible for a consecutive term. Vacancies may be filled for any un-expired term at any meeting of the Board of Directors.

Proposed Language – Article 4.02

4.02 Terms of office for the Officers named in Articles 3.01 – 3.04 shall be for one year, to begin at the close of the fall plenary session. The Moderator and Moderator-elect may each serve up to two consecutive one-year terms in their respective offices. A person who has served two consecutive terms as Moderator shall not be eligible for reelection as Moderator for the immediately succeeding term. Vacancies may be filled for any unexpired term at any meeting of the Board of Directors.

Proposed Action

Approval of this amendment will allow the Moderator and Moderator-elect to serve for up to two consecutive one-year terms in each office, subject to annual election by the messengers.
